Meet Deborah
Deborah's Story
Imagine a pastor without religion. Though it is not her main focus, if you need, she is qualified to counsel you in matters of Spirituality.
After raising her family, Deborah decided to obtain the education that would enable her to continue doing what she loved, helping people, just like you, to improve the quality of their lives. She did not want to dispense drugs, or analyze lives. Deborah has been counselling since 2005.
Deborah attended the University of Waterloo, where she received a B.A. in Religious Studies. She received a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies/Psychotherapy from Wilfrid Laurier University. Deborah has, and continues to study cultural, social, and religious aspects of human beings. She recently added Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and CBT Insomnia to her portfolio.
Deborah is qualified to do exactly what she enjoys doing the most, helping you through the rough spots in your life.
She has assists people of all ages through suicide attempts, and with addictions. She supports people on their grief journey, be that grief caused by relationship break-up, a change in family dynamics, or a death; Deborah has successfully counselled families, couples and singles during times of crisis; she has coached singles and couples to new and better lives.
Deborah is able to offer you a personalized journey to mental health through Solution-Focused therapy, which simply means finding the problem and assisting you in developing a solution. In the case of deeper, more complicated matters, Deborah is able to assist you to delve as deep as you need and desire. Together, we will be able to draw a road map to your future mental health.
